This is probably the fastest border crossing- Isfara to Batken. After a fast 30 mins we are in Kyrgyzstan.

After Batken we drove towards the Boz-Adir and hopefully we can pass the Uzbek region but got turned around. We have to drive back to Batken and take the Northern route along the border. Then we ran into another Uzbek and Tajik checkpoint. We have already used our Uzbek visas already and fortunately with our Skobbler app, on the map it show a secret byway to skip the Uzbek border.

There are border disputes between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Above is the byway we took to go around Uzbekistan checkpoint in order to continue our drive to Osh.

It was a long day of drive we arrive at Osh around 10:30pm. We stayed at Tes Guesthouse (1500 soms $35 usd per person).

Surprisingly we saw the Asota to Mongolia team! We met them at Czech party and we both donated to each others campaign. Their car broke down in the Pamir Highway, indeed, the entire engine dropped to the ground. They got their car towed from Pamir Highway to Osh and they are waitng for it to get it fixed. They said the local mechanics only charged them $200 USD to fix it! It was great to see another Mongol Rally buddies, I bought them some beer and shared awesome stories about the rally.
