We drove overnight until 6am and finally camped in the desert for 2 hours of sleep, then drove again on 8am.

We stopped at a town called Tejen and have our lunch at a random cafe. It was surprisingly super delicious, especially the beef broth dumplings! the sweet lady gave us some generous portions as well!

Then we sailed on. the road is sometime super rough and sometime smooth. Lots of pothole dodging since the Turkmenistan government is rebuilding the infrastructure. Next year Mongol Rally teams will probably have a super nice smooth road for their adventure ;-)

We arrived Turkmenabat around 8:30pm, trying to cross the bridge connect to Farap but the bridge control guy refuse to let us in because the Uzbek border is closed now. He is very nice he recommends us to a hotel in town. So we turned around and stay at a very shitty hotel called ???. We are all very cranky and tired, and the hotel room (30 USD per person) is shit they don’t even give you toilet paper.
